Final Plans

These are the FINAL plans for the new house. Here's a view of the front which will look somewhat different than this. I plan to put shutters on the left window and a different front door. Also, 1 or 2 dormers may be added to the center of the roof. I'll wait to make that decision once the house is up and I get a better idea of what it will look like.

And, here's the final floor plan. The entrance into the garage is now in front . . . before you entered on the left side. And, the area in the back of the house on the right side will be a screened porch. The old plans had a screened patio outside of the family room, but I have decided not to screen it. There will be a covered (roof) patio off the family room and then to the left of that area will be an open-air patio (left back corner). This will be something different than I've had in the past 4 homes, and I think I will like the change. It will make the family room more open to the backyard. And, speaking of backyard . . . I'm already working on a landscape plan for that. :-)

The next step is for an engineer to certify it, and then we're ready to apply for a building permit from the city.
