Temporary Housing

We've completed the sale on our home in Yalaha, and have now moved into our temporary (6 months) rustic log cabin at Fort Thomas.

Here we go through the entrance gate

The log cabin sits on 20 acres of pasture and woodlands.

The cabin is a nice size - approx. 1700 square feet

It's a beautiful and quiet area ... just a pasture away from Patti and Greg. It has a nice porch that wraps around the entire cabin.

Come inside and look around ...

Here's the living room. It definitely has a feel of the old frontier.

Lots of stuffed animals live with us.

and lots of collectibles that we aren't touching.

The kitchen and baths are very modern and spacious.

A cozy bedroom. There are 2 other bedrooms but we're sharing one so as not to disturb too much of his stuff.

It also has a LARGE garage that's chocked-full of stuff. This guy is a real collector.

and apparently a sculptor artist, too.

There used to be cows on the property, but now there's just this metal cow on the front porch as a reminder.

We have friendly neighbors like Donkey (that's his name) who belongs to our neighbors - Patti & Greg. He and Gator (another donkey) and Tampa (horse) come to visit each day.

More about life on the frontier to come later.
