Still Waiting . . . Hold up #3

Well, the good news is that the house plans have made it through the Building & Fire Prevention Construction Services department with 2 requested changes. The BAD NEWS is that the plans were sent to the building permit office and they have requested 6 additional items as follows:

1. FFl not 8" above finished grade.
2. Show temp glazing areas (baths)
3. Confirm pad location in garage area for double girder truss
4. Need arch window framing detail
5. Need plumbing riser detail
6. Need electric load calculation - REALLY!

So, now we continue to wait!!!!! The sad part is that had the first department sent the plans on to the 2nd department (instead of letting them sit on their desk for 3 weeks), we could have had this all done at the same time as the other changes.

Seriously, doesn't any part of government work anymore?????? Where has common sense gone??????
