Finally, after 6 months of construction we have moved in. The house is not fully complete but work is being completed weekly. Here's a quick tour...

Farewell to Fort Thomas

We've headed back into town to our new house, but before we leave I want to say farewell to Fort Thomas and The 3 Amigoes.

Here's Tampa

He now lets me pet him on the forehead before I feed him.

Donkey is a real show-off. If I don't notice that he's outside the window he "He-Haws" VERY LOUDLY, so I'll bring carrots or apples.

He's very impatient and always arrives first so that he can get extra treats.

Fortunately, his mouth is closed so you can't see his brown teeth.

Donkey and Tampa get along very well. 

Gator is the new donkey and he always brings up the rear. He's the quiet one.

But he makes sure he gets his fair share of the treats.

We enjoyed our summer in the country, but now it's time to say farewell to Fort Thomas.

Beautiful Sunrise

I couldn't help but notice the striking sunrise while I was outside waiting for Patti to pick Faith up for school.
The sun was rising behind a giant Live oak tree out in the pasture at Fort Thomas.

The mornings are becoming misty looking with a lay lowing fog.

I could barely see Tampa feeding out in the field.
